PTA Membership Information PTA Membership InformationThe PTA at J.W. York Elementary School works as a partner to the school’s administration and faculty. Your PTA provides volunteers, funding and programs to help our students reach their fullest potential! A major portion of your membership dues directly supports York, the North Carolina State PTA and the National PTA. These groups lobby for children’s issues, provide training for parents and teachers and help your PTA provide workshops and programs that benefit our children, teachers and parents. Here at York, your dues will help fund various programs and school activities throughout the year. The PTA is one of the largest and most effective child advocacy organizations in the country. This platform gives you a voice and a vote about important decisions that affect your child’s education.
Everyone is welcome, and we encourage all parents, faculty and staff to join our PTA! We can meet the goal of 100% participation if every student in our school has at least one member join PTA…. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins – anyone that is 14 years or older can join our PTA!
Print out the membership form and fill out the completed information. Enclose completed form and money/check (payable to “J.W. York PTA”) in envelope marked “PTA” to your child’s teacher. Membership cards will be sent to you in your child’s Tuesday folder. We appreciate your interest in the York PTA and welcome you with open arms! Great parents make terrific schools – join us today!!!
